Boy and Bear Small Bronze

This small bronze replica (5" h X 5.5" w) of Marshall Fredericks's beloved Boy & Bear sculpture could be yours today! The sculpture was produced for the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum by Michigan Art Castings in Leslie Michigan.

Marshall Fredericks's credo was to bring happiness to others through his sculptures. In the early 1950s, shopping malls provided a promising and exciting new way to expand the number of people exposed to his art. The J.L. Hudson Company commissioned Fredericks to create Boy and Bear for the entrance to the Hudson's store at the Northland Shopping Center in Southfield, MI. There his life-size Boy and Bear enchanted millions of children and parents alike for more than 60 years. After the shopping center was closed, the sculpture was bought and relocated to the Southfield Public Library where it continues to bring joy and happiness to children of all ages.

This reproduction was 100% created in Michigan by artisans and engineers to ensure the finest possible sculpture. The entire process took almost a year to complete over 2019 and 2020. We know this handmade piece of fine art will bring joy to your home.
