"Flower Pattern" by Lisa Owen

As a child I liked to draw and paint. Manilla paper, crayons, markers, and poster paint were my mediums. Back then most of my art materials came from my neighborhood drug store's office isle.

Art class was my favorite class. In junior and high school, I had the opportunity to attend a after school art studio program for teens. There I explored, and had the freedom to use a variety of mediums such as: clay, pastels, ink, watercolors, acrylics and oils. Also, I had teachers and working artists mentors to guide me. I learned many things from them.

In 1984 I studied fine art at Delta College. I enjoyed my time there and had inspiring Professors. Met other aspiring artists. Some of them I still know today.

After college, I joined art organizations. Met more artists and made friends. Took art classes and workshops. I've had the good fortune to exhibit my art in several places and participate in group exhibitions. For the past 30 years I've had the pleasure of working professionally as an Artist, custom picture framer and project designer.

It's hard to believe that my passion for art endures. I'm still learning and exploring as an Artist, after all this time.

The original artwork created for MFSM "Mail Art" 2020, is an extension of drawing design series called; Spring, Summer, and Fall in the COVID 19 Lock Down Era 2020. Sharpie on Paper.

It seems like full circle. Back to the office isle for my art supplies.
