Mixed Media Magic

Participants learn how to add 3 dimensional elements to 2 dimensional artworks using a variety of materials to build your surface. We will learn about the elements and principles of design, the color wheel, and color schemes and use these foundations to create an eye-catching composition. Each artist will create 2 8”x10” artworks, allowing them to explore many different techniques. All materials are provided.

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Generated Art

Participants will explore the growing world of AI generated artwork from utilizing text prompts to create images. Instead of a paint brush, images will be created with words. All materials are provided.

Chinese Ink Painting Workshop

Artist Rose Chiu will introduce the basic tools and techniques of traditional Chinese ink painting. Participants will create a themed painting using traditional techniques, and then paint the same artwork again with modern ink techniques. All materials are provided.

Discover how to make personal and impactful art as you create collage by layering photos, found objects and patterned papers. Participants will learn important compositional methods, color theory, and even something about yourself. All materials provided.
